Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional, but recommended)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Optional: 1 tbsp chopped parsley or green onions
🔪 Instructions
1. Preheat oven
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Make the filling
In a bowl, mix:
- Chicken
- Swiss cheese
- Cream cheese
- Mayonnaise
- Dijon mustard
- Garlic powder, onion powder
- Salt & pepper
Stir until creamy and well combined.
3. Arrange the crescent dough
- Open both cans of dough and separate into triangles.
- On the baking sheet, arrange triangles in a circle (like a sun), with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the points facing outward.
- You should get a ring shape with a small hole in the middle.
4. Add filling
Spoon the chicken mixture evenly over the inner circle where the dough overlaps.
5. Form the ring
- Take each triangle tip and fold it over the filling toward the center.
- Tuck underneath the inner dough to secure.
6. Egg wash
Beat the egg and brush it over the dough for a golden finish.
7. Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.
8. Cool & garnish
Let it cool for about 5 minutes, then sprinkle with parsley or green onions if desired.
