- 1 large green cabbage
- 6–8 slices bacon
- 2–3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Salt (to taste)
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar (optional, for finishing)
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

- Preheat oven
Set to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. - Prepare the cabbage steaks
- Remove outer leaves from the cabbage.
- Slice into thick rounds (about 2–3 cm thick).
- Keep the core intact so steaks hold together.
- Season
- Arrange cabbage slices on the baking sheet.
- Brush both sides with olive oil.
- Sprinkle with garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
- Add bacon
- Chop bacon into small pieces.
- Sprinkle evenly over each cabbage steak.
- Roast
Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until:- Edges are crispy
- Bacon is cooked and slightly crisp
- Finish & serve
- Drizzle lightly with balsamic vinegar (optional).
- Garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve hot.
