Peanut Butter Balls

Peanut Butter Balls – Extra Long, Detailed Version (No-Bake Dessert)

These classic Peanut Butter Balls are rich, creamy, and coated in smooth chocolate. They’re perfect for holidays, gifting, or anytime you want an easy no-bake treat with big flavor.

 Ingredients

Peanut Butter Filling

  • 2 cups powdered sugar (sifted for best texture)
  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy is best, but crunchy works too)
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted (unsalted preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Chocolate Coating

  • 2–3 cups dipping chocolate (milk, dark, or semi-sweet)
You can use chocolate chips, candy melts, or baking chocolate.

 Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Prepare the base
In a large mixing bowl, add the melted butter and vanilla extract. Stir well until fully combined.
  2. Add peanut butter
Add the peanut butter to the bowl and mix until smooth and creamy. Make sure there are no butter streaks.
  3. Incorporate powdered sugar
Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time. Mix well after each addition.
The mixture will become thick and dough-like but still soft.
  4. Adjust texture if needed
    • If the mixture is too sticky: add 1–2 tablespoons powdered sugar
    • If too dry: add 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  5. Shape the balls
Scoop about 1 tablespoon of mixture and roll into smooth balls using your hands.
Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Freeze to firm
Put the baking sheet in the freezer for 30 minutes. This helps the balls keep their shape when dipping.
  7. Melt the chocolate
    Melt the chocolate using:

    • Microwave (30-second intervals, stirring each time)
    • Or a double boiler on low heat
  8. Dip the balls
Using a fork or toothpick, dip each frozen peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate.
    Let excess chocolate drip off.
  9. Set the chocolate
Place coated balls back on the baking sheet.
Let them set at room temperature or refrigerate for faster results.

  • Decorate with chocolate drizzle, crushed peanuts, or sprinkles
  • Keep hands slightly cold when rolling for perfect shape
