Million Dollar Cream Cheese Pound Cake
(Rich, velvety, and melt-in-your-mouth perfection)
Ingredients:
Cake:
- 1 ½ cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 6 large eggs, room temperature
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Optional Vanilla Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Prep the Oven
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) — low & slow = silky smooth cake.
- Grease and flour a bundt pan very well.
2. Cream the Butter, Cream Cheese & Sugar
- Beat butter and cream cheese until smooth.
- Add sugar and beat 5–6 minutes until pale and fluffy.
3. Add the Eggs
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
4. Add Dry Ingredients
- Whisk together flour and salt.
- Add gradually to the batter on low speed (don’t overmix).
5. Add Vanilla
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
6. Fill the Pan
- Spoon batter evenly into the prepared bundt pan.
7. Bake
- Bake 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes,
or until a toothpick comes out clean.
8. Cool
- Cool in the pan 10–15 minutes,
then turn onto a wire rack to cool completely.
9. Optional Glaze
- Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Drizzle over the cooled cake.
