Christmas Peanut Butter Balls

Christmas Peanut Butter Balls (No-Bake Holiday Treat)

These classic Christmas Peanut Butter Balls are rich, creamy, and incredibly easy to make. They’re a no-bake holiday favorite, perfect for cookie trays, gift boxes, or festive gatherings. With a smooth peanut butter center and a chocolate coating, they disappear fast!

 Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening (for smooth chocolate)

 Instructions

  1. Make the Peanut Butter Mixture
In a large bowl, mix the peanut butter and softened butter until smooth and creamy.
  2. Sweeten the Dough
Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix well until a thick, soft dough forms.
If the mixture feels too sticky, add a little more powdered sugar.
  3. Shape the Balls
Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Chill
Refrigerate the balls for 30–45 minutes, or until firm. This helps them hold their shape when dipping.
  5. Melt the Chocolate
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring each time until smooth.
  6. Dip the Balls
Using a fork or toothpick, dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate. Let excess chocolate drip off.
  7. Set & Serve
Place dipped balls back on the parchment paper. Chill for 15–20 minutes until chocolate is fully set.

 Tips & Variations

  • Add festive sprinkles before the chocolate sets for a Christmas look.
  • Use white chocolate for variety.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
  • Freeze well for up to 2 months.
