Caramel Chocolate Crunch Bars 

Ingredients

Base

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs (or digestive biscuits)
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar

Caramel Layer

  • 1 cup soft caramels (or dulce de leche)
  • ¼ cup heavy cream

Crunch Layer

  • 1½ cups crispy rice cereal (Rice Krispies)
  • ½ cup chopped roasted peanuts or almonds (optional)

Chocolate Topping

  • 1½ cups milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base
    Mix graham crumbs, melted butter, and brown sugar. Press firmly into a lined 9×9 inch pan. Chill 10 minutes.
  2. Make the caramel
    Melt caramels with heavy cream over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. Add the crunch
    Stir cereal (and nuts if using) into the warm caramel. Spread evenly over the crust.
  4. Chocolate layer
    Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil until smooth. Pour over caramel layer and spread evenly.
  5. Chill & set
    Refrigerate 1–2 hours until firm. Cut into bars.

Tips

  • For extra crunch: add crushed pretzels.
  • For deeper flavor: use dark chocolate.
  • Store chilled for clean cuts.
