 Creamy Garlic Butter Chicken & Linguine Alfredo

A rich, creamy, restaurant-style chicken pasta that melts in your mouth — perfect for family dinners or special nights!

Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

For the Alfredo Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional but amazing)

For the Pasta

  • 12 oz linguine
  • Salt for the pasta water

1. Cook the Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the linguine and cook until al dente, usually 8–10 minutes.
  3. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup pasta water.

2. Prepare the Chicken

  1. In a bowl, season the chicken with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the seasoned chicken and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
  4. Add 2 tablespoons butter and the minced garlic.
  5. Cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant and lightly caramelized.
  6. Remove chicken and set aside.

3. Make the Alfredo Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt 3 tablespoons butter.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream and whisk gently.
  3. Add the chicken broth and keep whisking until smooth.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and nutmeg.
  6. If the sauce becomes too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time.

4. Put It All Together

  1. Add the cooked chicken back into the pan.
  2. Toss in the linguine.
  3. Stir until every strand of pasta is coated in creamy garlic butter Alfredo sauce.
  4. Let simmer 2–3 minutes to marry the flavors.
