No-Bake Salted Caramel Cracker Bark
The easiest sweet–salty treat you’ll ever make!
Crispy crackers, buttery caramel, and melted chocolate come together to create an addictive bark that requires zero baking. Perfect for holidays, parties, or late-night cravings — and it’s made with everyday ingredients!
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 box (16 oz) saltine crackers
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- Sea salt, for sprinkling
Directions
1. Prep the pan
Line a large baking sheet (about 15×10 inches) with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
2. Make the quick caramel
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter and brown sugar.
Heat in 30-second bursts, stirring each time, until fully melted and smooth (about 1–2 minutes total).
Stir in vanilla and salt. Let it cool slightly.
3. Layer the crackers
Arrange the saltine crackers in a single, tight layer on the lined baking sheet. Don’t leave gaps.
4. Add the caramel
Pour the warm caramel mixture evenly over the crackers.
Use a spatula to spread it so every cracker is coated.
5. Melt the chocolate
Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot caramel.
Let them sit 2–3 minutes to soften, then spread into a smooth chocolate layer.
6. Add toppings
Sprinkle chopped nuts (optional) and a light pinch of sea salt on top.
7. Chill
Refrigerate for 2 hours, or until completely set.
8. Cut + serve
Lift the bark using the parchment paper, transfer to a cutting board, and cut into pieces.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
