Butterfinger Caramel Crunch Bar
A no-bake, ultra-gooey, sweet-crunchy dessert layered with chocolate, caramel, and crushed Butterfingers. Every bite is a mix of creamy, crunchy, and chewy — dangerously addictive!
Ingredients
For the Base Layer
- 4 cups cornflakes, lightly crushed
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup granulated sugar
For the Caramel Layer
- 1 (14-oz) bag soft caramels (about 40 pieces)
- 2 tbsp heavy cream or milk
For the Chocolate Layer
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil or coconut oil
For the Topping
- 6 full-size Butterfinger bars, crushed (or 12 fun-size bars)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crunchy Peanut Butter Base
- Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- In a large pot over medium heat, combine corn syrup + sugar, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the mixture starts to bubble gently.
- Remove from heat and quickly stir in the peanut butter until smooth and creamy.
- Add the crushed cornflakes and mix well until everything is coated.
- Press the mixture firmly into the pan (use a greased spoon or parchment). Set aside.
2. Melt the Caramel Layer
- Add the soft caramels and cream to a microwave-safe bowl.
- Microwave for 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until the caramel is smooth and pourable.
- Pour the caramel evenly over the peanut butter base and spread quickly before it sets.
3. Make the Chocolate Topping
- Microwave the chocolate chips + oil in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Pour over the caramel layer and smooth out with a spatula.
4. Add the Butterfinger Crunch
- While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle the crushed Butterfinger bars generously on top.
- Press lightly so they stick into the chocolate.
5. Chill and Slice
- Refrigerate for 1–2 hours until fully set.
- Lift the slab out of the pan using the parchment and cut into bars or squares.
- Store in the fridge for firm bars or at room temperature for softer, gooier ones.
Tips for Perfect Bars
- For extra crunch, add ½ cup chopped peanuts to the base.
- For thicker bars, use an 8×8-inch pan.
- Warm your knife in hot water before cutting for clean slices.
- Drizzle extra melted chocolate on top for a bakery-style finish.
