Ingredients
For the Sandwiches
- 48 Ritz crackers
- 12 slices deli ham or turkey (cut into quarters)
- 12 slices cheddar cheese (cut into quarters)
- ½ cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp honey mustard or regular mustard
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise (optional)
For the Buttery Glaze
- 6 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp poppy seeds (optional)
- Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
1. Prepare the Filling
In a small bowl, mix:
- Cream cheese
- Honey mustard
- Mayonnaise (if using)
Spread a thin layer of the mixture onto half of the Ritz crackers.
This gives you a creamy, tangy base that makes the sandwiches irresistible.
2. Build the Sandwiches
On each prepared cracker:
- Add one small slice of cheddar cheese
- Add one slice of ham/turkey
- Top with another Ritz cracker to form a mini sandwich
Press gently so everything sticks together.
3. Make the Buttery Glaze
In a bowl, whisk together:
- Melted butter
- Worcestershire sauce
- Brown sugar
- Dijon mustard
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Poppy seeds
- Black pepper
This glaze caramelizes in the oven and gives the sandwiches that famous party-snack flavor.
4. Bake the Sandwiches
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
- Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet lined with parchment
- Brush each sandwich generously with the butter glaze
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until:
- The cheese melts
- The crackers turn slightly golden
- The tops become shiny and caramelized
5. Serve Hot or Warm
These sandwiches are best served:
- Right out of the oven
- Or kept warm under foil
They stay crisp outside and melty inside — absolutely addictive.
Tips to Make Them Perfect
- Add a small slice of jalapeño for a spicy kick
- Use pepper jack cheese instead of cheddar
- Swap the ham for crispy bacon pieces
- Make them sweet & salty by adding a tiny dot of jam under the cheese
- Double the glaze if you want extra buttery shine for photos
