Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground sausage (pork or turkey)
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (8-count each)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, but recommended)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. - Cook the sausage
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked.
Drain excess grease and let it cool slightly. - Make the filling
In a bowl, mix:- Cooked sausage
- Cream cheese
- Cheddar cheese (if using)
- Garlic powder and pepper
Stir until well combined and creamy.
- Prepare the crescents
Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. - Fill and roll
Place about 1 tablespoon of filling on the wide end of each triangle.
Roll up toward the pointed end. - Bake
Arrange on the baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown. - Cool slightly & serve
Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
Tips & Variations
- Add chopped jalapeños for a spicy kick
- Swap cheddar for mozzarella or pepper jack
- Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning on top before baking
