Baked Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground sausage (pork or turkey)
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (8-count each)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, but recommended)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook the sausage
    In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked.
    Drain excess grease and let it cool slightly.
  3. Make the filling
    In a bowl, mix:

    • Cooked sausage
    • Cream cheese
    • Cheddar cheese (if using)
    • Garlic powder and pepper
      Stir until well combined and creamy.
  4. Prepare the crescents
    Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
  5. Fill and roll
    Place about 1 tablespoon of filling on the wide end of each triangle.
    Roll up toward the pointed end.
  6. Bake
    Arrange on the baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly & serve
    Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Tips & Variations

  • Add chopped jalapeños for a spicy kick
  • Swap cheddar for mozzarella or pepper jack
  • Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning on top before baking
  • Make ahead: assemble and refrigerate, then bake fresh
