Slow Cooker 4-Ingredient Brown Sugar Pork Chops: Sweet, Savory, and Effortless

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup water (or low-sodium broth for more flavor)

Instructions

  1. Prep the slow cooker
Lightly grease the inside or use a liner for easy cleanup.
  2. Add pork chops
Place the pork chops in a single layer at the bottom.
  3. Mix the sauce
In a bowl, combine brown sugar, onion soup mix, and water. Stir until blended.
  4. Pour & coat
Pour the mixture evenly over the pork chops, making sure they’re well coated.
  5. Cook low & slow
    • LOW: 6–7 hours
    • HIGH: 3–4 hours
  6. Serve
Spoon the sweet-savory sauce over the chops before serving.

Tips & Variations

  • Add sliced onions or garlic for extra depth.
  • Toss in potatoes or carrots to make it a one-pot meal.
  • For a thicker sauce, remove the lid in the last 30 minutes or stir in a cornstarch slurry.

What It Tastes Like

The brown sugar caramelizes into a rich glaze while the onion soup mix adds a savory, slightly salty balance—creating a perfect sweet-and-savory combo with almost no effort.
